Maine Ski and Snowboard Museum The Ski and Snowboard Museum is located on the Sugarloaf Access Rd. in Carrabassett. It has a collection of ski equipment, photos and documents from 1870-2022.

A satellite gallery is located at the Historical Society on Broad St. in Bethel.

Six skiers will be inducted into the Maine Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame on Saturday, October 3rd at Lost Valley Ski Area.
The Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who bring distinction to Maine through competition as athletes or coaches; those who pioneered the sport; manufacturers; area builders and operators; instructors; volunteers and others who have made significant contributions to winter sports.
This year’s honorees include ski patroller, Jim Kidder, of Farmington; race official, Jay Marshall, of Carrabassett Valley; ski shop owner and sales representative, Peter Kailey, of Sugar Hill, N.H.; Nordic coach and cross country area operator, Byron “Buzz” Davis, of Industry; Sugarloaf Competition Center director, Jim McCormack, of Oquossoc; and ski coach, H. Paul McGuire, of Portland.
