~Thicket~ Limited Edition Print: 1 of 20, in a series of prints in this year’s Yosemite Exhibition, entitled:

One Of Seven

In February of 2014, Yosemite National Park was declared one of the Seven Natural Wonders of North America. In this exhibit, you are invited to discover and explore Yosemite National Park like you’ve never seen before, through the eyes of the Artist, and learn what makes it one of North America's Seven Wonders of Nature.

The iconic Photographer Ansel Adams once said: “A good photograph is knowing where to stand.” Local Artist, Juan C. Mancheno couldn’t agree more. Being primarily a landscape digital artist in the most iconic regions of the U.S. have presented a very challenging and unique opportunity for Mancheno to set himself apart by documenting through the lens, those very same places in very unique and never before seen perspectives. Juan spends a considerable amount amount of time studying maps, hiking and climbing to the more remote areas of any well frequented region, in order to capture one of a kind images that are at once familiar, yet refreshing and interesting.

As a fine art visual artist, Juan’s feeling of self-satisfaction that he consistently experiences from his  creative process is matched only by the gratification he undergoes when delivering to his clients a finished product that inspires the imagination, pleases the eye and presents the subject in a light and environment never to be repeated again. The main focus of Mancheno's artwork is in the Black and White medium.

Following in this tradition, the exhibit keeps with the classic beauty, contrast, and simplicity that comes from working in Black & White.

Yosemite is, by far, my favorite destination in California. There are few places in the world that are as beautiful and inspiring as Yosemite National Park in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. When it comes to iconic locations that define a country such as the United States, it is hard not think of images of Half Dome or Yosemite Falls, both of which have been made famous over the years by photographers such as Ansel Adams, that helped define photography for their respective generations.

My personal interpretation of this majestic place will be on display through January. Happy Holidays!

Juan Mancheno

Galleria Ramo D’oro translates to Gallery of the Golden Bough. The gallery is located in the courtyard once known as “The Court of the Golden Bough” which was built in 1922 by lawyer and concert cellist, Edward Kuster. It is considered Carmel’s first courtyard. Once an experimental theater and now home to several restaurants, shops and of course, Galleria Ramo D’oro.

Established in 2015, by sole owner Juan C. Mancheno, the Gallery offers world class investments in Fine Art. Mr. Mancheno is a well established artist, with years of reputable experience in the acquisition of, and sales of Fine Art, selling both his own private work, as well as Fine Art prints from other local Artists. He also assists in consignment sales of Fine Art prints from well renowned Artists, and new and emerging Artists, whom he sees have an intrinsic value that will grow over time.
