A Renaissance Man in the truest sense of the word, Mario Simic’s passion and love of art were manifested at an early age as he grew up in Serbia (ex Yugoslavia.) His goal to become an active contributor to the world of art led him to Paris, where during intense studies, he was greatly influenced by the works of the past masters. A lifelong dream to move to the United States was realized, when he t
raveled to California in 1970 and fell in love with the majestic Pacific coastline. As he developed his unique painting style, Simic’s focus remained on the challenge of representing form and movement through the use of color and dynamic brushstroke. Over the past quarter century, he has continued to capture the essence of nature’s awesome and timeless sculpting of the coastal landscape. From the heart of an artist, Mario Simic states, "My intention is to create harmony, balance, energy flow and to inspire. I hope that my paintings bring to the viewer good feelings, leaving room for imagination and dreams." With his boundless energy and enthusiasm, Simic befriended and attracted other artists from around the world, as well as patrons, clients and corporate collectors. He became the focus and catalyst for the resurgence of artistic creative contribution that gave birth to his own gallery. His first art gallery was received by the public with great enthusiasm, and with explosive success, the one location in Carmel quickly grew to four. Among his most recent accomplishments, Simic was honored with the silver award in a group show juried by collectors, artists, and patrons of the arts in La Jolla, California. He has also been featured in numerous magazine articles and is currently listed in Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of the Executives.
