Southwestern Style with a Modern Twist!

Who says desert-inspired design has to be all about warm, earthy tones? This beautiful bedroom takes a refreshing approach with rich indigo blues, soft grays, and warm wood accents that create a cozy yet sophisticated retreat.

From the plush upholstered headboard to the layered bedding and striking longhorn artwork, every detail brings together Southwestern charm and contemporary elegance.

We love how this space feels both inviting and luxurious without losing its desert roots!

What do you think? Would you bring bold blues into your bedroom, or do you prefer traditional desert neutrals?

Two days away, and a second featured artist to tell you about: Amy Lay. Her wildlife work sits right between real and loose, so a bear or a bird reads true from across the room and dissolves into brushwork when you step closer. It is hanging now above a heavily textured credenza in the showroom. Also on the walls: Brit Hansen with Lean into Me, Joe and Mary Axton-Giddings with Circulatory, and Rene Palomino with Prickly Pear. Trevor Swanson speaks at 5:15. Live music, w**e, and no reason to rush. Join us this Thursday from 4 pm to 7 pm.

Next level cozy. High-pile boucle does something to a room the second it walks in, softening everything around it. What makes the Milo work is the balance: the seat has a rounded, almost hug-like shape, but the slim open metal legs keep it floating so your floor plan stays light. Drop a pair in a living room or build a reading corner around one. These are the chairs anchoring our Trevor Swanson vignette right now, so come sit in one before Art Night.

Who decided art only goes on walls? These are custom refrigerator panels by Trevor Swanson. He works oil paint and chemical patinas directly onto metal, which is why the sky actually glows and the saguaros have that much depth. An appliance you look at every day, turned into the best piece in the kitchen. Swipe to see Trevor installing them himself. He takes commissions, and he is our featured artist at Carefree Art Night on October 15.

We are also featuring Amy Lay, Brit Hansen, Joe and Mary Axton-Giddings, and Rene Palomino. Join us for an open house with exceptional art, live music, w**e, and a warm welcome. 36889 N. Desert views framed by sophisticated design. We are absolutely in love with how this living space balances the warmth of a vaulted wood ceiling and stone accents with cool, striking jewel tones. The pops of deep turquoise, teal glass lamps, and oversized statement vases mimic the desert sky, bringing a refreshing energy indoors. The sprawling sectional and cozy patterned armchairs create the ultimate layout for gathering with family or just unwinding while watching the sunset over the valley. Would you go with bold accent colors like this in your main living space? Tell us in the comments!

Nature did the design work on this one. Each top is a slice of agate pulled from ancient volcanic rock in Brazil, hand-cut so the crystalline veining and the translucent depth are different every single time. No two are alike, and the shapes are not uniform either. Set on a sculptural black iron base with a nine-inch footprint, they tuck in beside an armchair or a sofa without taking up a room. Cool moody grays or warm crystalline creams? Tell us which one you would take.

Business in front, party all the way around. This is the SBI Original Carefree Leather Fringe Swivel, and it is not a quiet chair. Heavy leather fringe wraps the entire base, so it moves every time the chair turns. Hand-applied nailhead trim runs along the sloped arms. Deep cushioning and a loose pillow back mean it is as comfortable as it is loud. Put two in an open room and watch where everyone sits. Only at Sue Bickerdyke Interiors.

The powder room is the jewelry box of the house. It is small, nobody lives in it, and that makes it the safest place you have to take a real risk. Here, it is an iridescent mosaic tile wall that catches every bit of light from the sconce, paired with a floating navy vanity and a thick marble top. The ceramic birds flying across the neutral wall are the part that makes people smile. Small room, big swing. Would you do a wall like this?
