The years go by in a blink! To celebrate the Stache's ten year anniversary, throughout this season Carbon Hill School Museum will feature 125 years worth of photos and memorabila from the corner of 3rd and Lacey. The corner was the original site of our village's hotel. with its 22 sleeping rooms, a dining hall, a barbershop, EJE RR and Big Four payroll offices, this hotel was a bustling hub of activity until summer in 1913 when the hotel burned down. It was not until 1937 that this corner awakened with a brand new building and business - Porky's La Sp****la. Offering good food, music, dancing, local entertainment, bocce, euchre, and Meister Brau beer it was fun times. Through many years a long list of names and faces have done business on this corner in the old Porky's, now much remodeled and improved. The past ten have been the best and so we celebrate our "Mustachio's" -- cheers to fellowship, hard work, and fun times! Life is good.
