Gallery of Inspiration

This month at the Gallery of Inspiration we will be making mixed media takes on Monet's Water Lilies during the mornings of the first half of the month. The second half of the month we will be creating wind chimes using cans and a variety of other materials. Open Studio hours are from 1-4p every day, come create with us using our supplies. Open to all 18+.

This week we are having fun making the hilariously hideous Blind Contour creations! In this exercise we look exclusively at what we are drawing (ourselves in the mirror) and not at the paper we're drawing on. This forces the artist to look at the subject matter in greater detail. Once done we're taking acrylic markers to our masterpieces to give them as much character as we see in ourselves.

Here are some of the fantastic robots created in our mixed media session; Roll a' Robot. We had a lot of fun as we rolled the dice to figure out which shapes we were going to combine to make our own unique robots in outer space!

We have been creating cartoons as we manifest some snow! One of our favorite things to do when it snows is to catch flakes on our tongues as they fall. Here are a few of the creations we've seen the past few days here at the Gallery of Inspiration.
