Caney River Carvings Hand carved and hand painted wood carvings

As I finish out this year, I must say, all in all, it was a good year. Now, most will say, not to good since I did not ge any Christmas ornaments carved this year and for that matter, for 2015. .
I will update you on my condition. In 2015 I had an eye stroke in my left eye and took a while to get back to normal and 4 rounds of injections in the eye. The eye would not dilate and the lens was stuck to the eye. had surgert in Nov of 2016, basicly to remove catract and to replace the lens with an implant. THat did not go as planned and have been taking high doses of steroid drops to help improve my eye sight. I went from a 20/150 to 20/50 with still some blurriness. But not as it was with the 20/150 eye sight. Still taking the steroid eye drops and hopefully, my eye sight in the left eye continues to improve.. very little carving done but some and I noticed not as good as before this all started. So, I decided to not carve till the sight is better. So, Here it is the 31st of Dec, 2016 and I wish you all a Happy New Year. May 2017 be a blessed year to all of you. Kenny

Not to get in to all the details but I will be having two surgeries on my left eye in the near future. Been having some eye problems with the left eye where it will not dilate. Running some test possibly next end of this week or next. Depending on the outcome whether I will be able to do any carvings completed before Christmas. I have very few now but no new designs. My apologies to you all who have been following me.

Yes, I know, people are waiting to see what we come up with. May not be the quantity this year but will be the quality. Will post when they are completed.

Sorry to inform that we are finish with the sale and have no Ornament left. Billie, Josh and I greatly appreciate all that wanted ornaments this year. It was another successful year. Remember, We will be carving and painting again next year and let us know early as I will be starting to carve new ornaments starting in March or April. Yes, that early and maybe sooner.
This year was a little different as my wife, the painter, painted most of the ornaments with a broken elbow. She did a great job of painting so as to allow me more time to carve more ornaments. More carved and painted than last year and we were done earlier than last year. Again, Thank you all.
