The $1.5 million Stabilization and Repair phase is proceeding well. All the interior floors have been reinforced from the basement to the attic, exterior masonry for the front is done, and 46 windows are in the process of being installed. Three dormers will once again be added to the roof and cedar shingles will replace the modern ones. In the next phase we'll bring in the utilities, finish the first floor and start the exhibits in early 2026. We'll open before July 4, 2026, but the upper floors will have to wait to another phase when we're able to raise money funds. The cost of the project has doubled since the pre-Covid estimate and historic preservation is quite expensive.
