This was either a Cambridge crowd waiting for a parade, or there's a run on The People's Bank. By the look of the cars, we'll venture a guess of early 1940s.

Absolutely no idea what's going on in the middle of early Cambridge, but it appears this family may have just arrived from a very, very long journey!

Track from the Oregon Shortline's Homestead Branch and the Brownlee Store are pictured here on land now covered by the reservoir, directly across from where Woodhead Park is today. The track from Robinette to Homestead was abandoned and removed in 1934 and completely gone by 1959 when the reservoir was filled. The Brownlee Ferry crossed from this vicinity as well, and was used to transport pioneers on the Goodale Cutoff.

Now Tricia Warren, a state champion from what year? I was there, but the exact year escapes me now.

So many local athletes worthy of a remembrance. We suspect the family will come up with a year.

The museum remembers Kit and Ida Wells that still farmed old-style as late as the early 1990s (?) from their home on Brownlee Creek above the guard station. These photos were from an Idaho Statesman article that almost totally overlooked the couple's pioneer heritage in favor of a lengthy diatribe about Kit's salty language. Sad the point was neglected. There weren't two finer people anywhere!

Highway construction at the same location years apart. Originally built in 1939, Stuart Dopf may have taken this photo during the original construction, but this photo may or not be from that year. I took the lower photo during the latest reconstruct in 1999 of the highway that now bears my father's name.

Before we let the Fair theme slip away for another year, we just came cross this wide aerial view of the Washington County Fair & Rodeo, most likely early 1960s. Any guesses on the year? Exhibit Hall places it after 1958-60. There was a storage boxcar placed near the sale barn at one time that's not there yet. There's also some semblance of a carnival that slowly went away with time in the mid-60s. Lots of identifiers if you know what to look for!
