The Noble County Historical Society Office is located in the Jail/jailers residence on 419 West St, across from the County Courthouse. This building has been transformed into a museum of Noble County History. We have major displays on farming, medical equipment, Shenandoah, jail cells, children, military and school. We also have a quilt collection and many other items. We own the Ball-Caldwell Ho

mestead located on 16 East Street in Caldwell About 5 blocks from the jail. This property contains the historical home, hospitality house with space for meeting and celebrations. The Historic Barn available for use for meeting, weddings, receptions, reunions, music and other events. At the Noble County Fairgrounds we owned the Covered bridge, Walters' One room log cabin with furnishings of the 1800’s, Bethel Primitive Baptist Church that can be rented for events and the Crooked Tree one room school with desks. The Side blackboards have been preserved as they were on the last day of school in the 1929. All tours are coordinated by the Office in the Historic Jail with phone number 740-732-5288. Bake Sale at the Noble County Fair
Noble County Historical Society Bake Sale will take place from 8 am to noon on Friday, Sept 4, in a new location. Look for them at the Eagles Pavilion below Heritage Park, before you get to the rest rooms. It is both Senior Day and Military Day.
Donations of baked goods will be accepted at the Noble County museum, 419 West St in Caldwell on Thursday from noon to 4:30 pm. They will also accept baked good at the sale location early Friday morning. Do not price your items.

Leith Run Campground on the Marietta Unit (part of Athens Ranger District) will remain closed through Wednesday, August 5, due to an EF1 tornado directly impacting the campground on July 21. Crews are continuing work to clear debris and make campsites safe for visitors. Leith Run camping reservations have been cancelled and refunded through August 5. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to reopen the campground!
