🍁 Sugar House Spotlight: Moosehead Maple Farm 🍁
This week we’re heading to Jackson, Maine to highlight Moosehead Maple Farm, a great example of how a simple hobby can grow into something much more.
What started as a way to pass the long Maine winters has turned into a full-fledged operation, with 12 years of sugaring experience (and 6 as a business). From cutting and splitting wood in the off-season to boiling sap in the spring, their story is a reminder that maple syrup is truly a year-round craft!
With 250 taps and a love for that rich, dark maple flavor, Moosehead Maple Farm is all about keeping things simple, authentic, and delicious.
And if you ask them: the best part?
That unmistakable sweet smell in the sugarhouse when the boil is on!

We’re excited to kick things off by highlighting the incredible producers behind Pure Maine Maple, one sugarhouse at a time!

First up: Bacon Farm Maple Products, LLC out of Sidney, Maine. With 6 generations of experience and over 145 years of tradition, they’re a true example of the passion and craftsmanship that make Maine maple so special.

From the first pull of the season to producing bold, flavorful syrup from 2,000 taps, this is what sugaring in Maine is all about!

🍁 Maine Maple Sunday Update 🍁

Maine Maple Sunday has always been held the fourth Sunday in March, regardless of weather. This year is no different. Despite the threat of snow in the forecast, Maine Maple Sunday 2026 will continue as planned. Each sugarhouse may choose to set their own schedule and may curtail some events due to weather.
