Help support the USO while they support our troops overseas and at home. GYSGT, RET.

We can never repay the incredible service and sacrifice our troops make on our behalf every day. But we must try. Help the USO be there for our troops whether they're serving far from home or healing with honor.

The Historic Whitaker Jaynes Home and Bacon House renovation have been completed. We still have a few things to finish inside.
We do have to await Covid-19 clearance to open and provide the required cleaning and other required limit on visitors.

Memorial Day. Remembering Kenneth L. Holder (my maternal grandmother's cousin) He grew up on his parents farm in Buena Park, very near Knott's Berry Farm. (The Holder Family knew the Knotts as neighbors). There is still a Holder Street in Buena Park - between Knott Ave and Valley View st. Kenneth joined the RAF as an American volunteer pilot before the US officially entered WWII. He was shot down in 1941 flying out of and defending Great Britain.
The renovation is completed and as soon as we enter the next step on the Covid color
we will reopen for tour's based the safety of all. Hope to be open soon but this short
film will give you an idea of what will you will see.
Thank you all for your service.

Looking forward to seeing the restoration work.

The WAGS 36th Annual Seminar will be held on January 26, 2019. We are fortunate to have scheduled an outstanding speaker, John P. Colletta. He is one of America’s most popular genealogical lecturers. Knowledgeable, experienced and entertaining, he resides in Washington, D.C. For twenty years, while laying the foundation for his career in genealogy, he worked half-time at the Library of Congress and taught workshops at the National Archives.
