“Buttercups” oil on board in a vintage frame. 20”x28” 2k$ available. I’ve been painting meadows all summer. The show is called “NEW MEADOWS” named after a road not far from my house in Brunswick. I like the sound of it, new meadows. Mostly because meadows can’t be “new” they take hundreds of years to develop the complicated conditions that will grow the variety of plants that make up a meadow. Anyways, the show opens 10/2/26 with a reception that evening from 5-7:00 pm.

My friend Darci Foshay is opening a design studio in Portland Maine. This design studio is featuring my art and a few of my original furniture design including a “LOVE” table inspired by Robert Indiana. There will be a reception Friday evening. Come by and check it out!

Topsham Fair shenanigans. Murky represent. It’s fun to see this sculpture in a local country fair exhibition hall with the jars of pickles and homemade pies.

There will be a screening of “IN THE BLOOD” about my dad, Philip Barter and myself and “A LIFE BEHIND THE CANVAS” about William Irvine at the Waldo theater in Waldoboro Maine Wednesday evening. It will be cool to see this on the big screen at this historic theater.
