We discuss the pros and cons of working outside of a major art hub and learn more about how artists can respond to their immediate surroundings, local communities, and the larger art world. Don’t miss out on learning valuable art world insights from these brilliant folks!

As we mentioned in our last post, in 2026 we have scaled back by closing our membership program, and are now going into hibernation/incubation mode for a bit until 2027.

A little hello from the co-founders of PARADICE! 👋

You may have noticed we’ve been on 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗵𝗶𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘀 ~ so we’re here to our explain ourselves!

This year, we are both pursuing a 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗬𝗨, and learning SO much that we missed through our formal arts training. It’s been a wonderful, deep dive into the nitty gritty of what it means to be an arts admin 👯‍♀️📚💻

At the beginning of 2026, 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 - a bittersweet decision as we scale back to make room for growth. After our winter/spring projects wrapped, the plan was to keep the party going on 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝗱𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. But after classes kicked in, our co-founder Kat had to put a pause on that plan.

So! The release is 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳. But! We did 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗿 to keep the excitement going!

Meet us at .st.nyc for a closing reception and artist talk with the one and only 🎤

The event will run from 𝟯-𝟱𝗽𝗺 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟵𝘁𝗵 at the 77 East 3rd location of All Street Gallery.

If you can’t make it to the closing/talk, the gallery is open today and tomorrow 1-7pm.

“I first encountered Badenhausen’s work in 2016, when I stumbled into her open studio in Manhattan’s Chelsea arts district and found her hand-gluing hundreds of rhinestones and fragments of broken jewelry across a twenty-foot wall. The vibrancy of that moment has stayed with me for a decade - I was immediately pulled into the charm of her glittery, offbeat world.“

𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒓 𝑳𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔𝒄𝒂𝒑𝒆𝒔 brings together 10 US-based visual artists exploring the entanglement of inner and outer worlds—how anxiety, grief, desire, and resilience take shape through the body, the home, and the natural environment.

A collaborative curation between and the selected works vary in material and scale, with processes ranging from photogrpahy, collage, textiles and embroidery, and mixed media.

Happy (belated) birthday to this absolute legend, who turned 85 years old yesterday! 🎂 🎁 🎉

LaThoriel works in her studio almost every day, hand stitching textiles, curating and assembling found objects together, and making still life oil paintings of her sculptures.

Now that her solo show is open (go see it at .st.nyc!) she has said she plans to take a little break from the studio and wants to learn new skills, including gold leafing and holography.

We’re so excited to see what she does next and we continue to be inspired by this bold artist everyday.
