Return of the Rails Bringing back the Bridgton and Saco Railroad, which is now in Portland, Maine back to its historic h Maine Narrow Gauge worked with Mr. Mr.

The Bridgton resident, Bill Shelley, is the founder of Return of the Rails and has been collecting railroad artifacts for over 45 years. The Bridgton and Saco River line ran from Harrison through Bridgton to Hiram. Bill is enthusiastic and has taken the steps to the next level. If you have ever traveled by the Bridgton Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce you will see the two historic cars on the fron

t lawn for all to see. The "Standard Oil of New York" emblazoned on one car and the other car a circa 1883, both built originally in Bridgton. Shelley to move the cars back to their place of birth. Shelley can see the big picture and wants to share the vision with the people of the Lakes Region Area.
