This week we’re featuring visual and performance artist, Lorenzo Cardim.

His artist statement reads, “At the core of Cardim’s multi-media practice is a commitment to making work that questions social and political structures. His works express themes of social injustice through sculpture, video, and performance. Cardim’s work looks at how society perceives those who exist outside culturally dominant norms. Specifically, he is interested in how LGBTQ, people of color, and other minority groups question the status quo. His sculpture and time-based works explore how social constructs ultimately inform political ideology, legislation, and actions. In a social and political environment that often fosters separation, Cardim’s works argue for inclusion.”

Cardim’s sculpture “Zipper” was featured in our 2020 exhibit “Moving Forward: 10 Year Anniversary” See more of Lorenzo Cardim’s work at his website ->

There is 3pm FBook Live artist interview today, Jan. 9, 2021.
It's been a pleasure having my artwork "BLUES" shown at the Prince George's County Juried exhibition, Symbiotic Presence. I applaud my fellow artist on their beautiful contributions to the exhibition as well. There was a wide array of talent shown. I hope everyone enjoys it. Have a Blessed Day!!
