Did you know you can schedule a private tour of the Brenham Fire Museum any day of the week? While the museum is typically open Saturdays from 11am – 2pm, we offer private tours for groups looking to experience the history of firefighting in Brenham at their convenience!

Book in Advance! With the busy spring season upon us, now is the perfect time to secure your tour. Private tours must be booked at least two weeks in advance.

Pricing: Private tours start at $25 for up to five people, with an additional $5 per person after that.

Have you ever wondered what the inside of the Barnhill Center at historic Simon Theatre looks like? Now’s your chance to explore it for free while learning all about Brenham!

Want to learn about Brenham's fascinating early history? Stop by during Spring Break this week (3/10 - 3/14) anytime from 10am - 4pm to check out the "Step Into The Past" historical films! Admission is free and open to all ages!

There are seven short films to enjoy including fun tales about Reese Lockett - Brenham's cowboy mayor, the Brenham Fire Museum, Glissmann's Pharmacy, Brenham Maifest, and more!

The runtime for all films is about 1 hour and 10 minutes and they play on a continuous loop. See you there!

Looking for something to do with the family tomorrow? Go check out the Smithsonian traveling exhibit, "Crossroads: Change in Rural America," and the "A Century of Simon" exhibit in Downtown Brenham!

✨ Exciting News! - OPEN FOR NEW YEAR'S EVE!

With all the interest and incredible turnout, we’re thrilled to announce that the Smithsonian’s “Crossroads: Change in Rural America” exhibit and our local exhibit, “A Century of Simon” will be open tomorrow, December 31st, from 10 AM to 3 PM!

We will still be closed on January 1st, but will resume normal hours of operation from January 2nd through January 19th, 2025.

Movies showcasing the history of Brenham will be playing in the Barnhill Center at historic Simon Theatre so bring your family and enjoy. Come by, dive into history, and experience the stories that have shaped our community and beyond! 🎥

This unique exhibition explores the evolving nature of rural communities and their impact on shaping America's future. Join us at The Barnhill Center from December 7, 2024 – January 19, 2025 for this national exhibition, along with other local educational programs and activities throughout Brenham & Washington County!
