✨ Exciting momentum continues at the Children’s Discovery Center! ✨

For the past several months, our team has been hard at work designing and planning the future of the Children’s Discovery Center alongside our wonderful construction and design teams, GLTArchitects and Gast Construction Company Inc.

From hands-on STEM experiences and imaginative play spaces to nature-inspired exploration and community gathering areas, every part of this project has been thoughtfully designed to create a place where children can learn, play, discover, and grow.

This project is about more than a place to play .. it’s about investing in the community's future, revitalizing an old building, an entire city block downtown Breckenridge, and creating a destination that strengthens the entire region.

We are projecting to bring 50,000 plus visitors downtown Breceknridge every single year to visit the Children's Discovery Center.

We are incredibly grateful for the commitment shown by both community and regional partners who believe in this vision and are helping move this project forward.

We are a little behind on posting.. but there are so many good things happening!

We’ve had so many incredible opportunities the past couple of months to bring play to our community.. and we’re feeling so grateful. 💛

From free pop-up events at the museum to celebrating special moments like the Week of the Young Child it’s been amazing to see kids learning, creating, and just being kids.

We’ve also loved welcoming local daycares and preschool classes, giving little ones a space to explore, imagine, and connect.

A huge thank you to our amazing coordinator Morgan Schuler, all of the organizers, volunteers and community members who continue to show
up to support this idea of bringing a children’s museum the area.

As we continue building and fundraising toward opening the Children’s Discovery Center, we remain committed to offering free pop-up play opportunities for families in our community and also to give the community and little sneak peek of how special children’s museum truly are.

This is just the beginning and we can’t wait for what’s ahead.

🌍♻️ Tomorrow is going to be a beautiful day- join us for Earth Day Explorers Wednesday, April 22 from 4:30–6:30 PM featuring arts, crafts, and Earth-inspired activities celebrating creativity, play, and community!

We're also excited to welcome our friends from Wilkin County, Minnesota - Government Recycling! ♻️

The weather is going to be gorgeous, so load up the bike trailer, grab the kiddos, and swing by!

As we continue our capital campaign to fund the construction and exhibits of our museum, we'll be hosting free pop-up events in the community until we open our doors. These pop-ups are our way of bringing the magic of play and learning to you while we build something truly special! 🏗️✨
