I started painting bird images on vases 4 years ago. The vases have been popula,r prompting me to continue to modify and explore variations of the image. I've been getting back to painting in the last couple of years, and just completed a series of bird images on loose canvas. These are being shown this weekend at the 14 Artists 3 Days event.

I gathered a few early blooming or evergreen plants and pressed them into soft porcelain. These photos have the curious effect of making the impressions into the clay look reversed, like the form is coming out from the clay. I've got one of a wid leek that originally didn't photograph well. I'll try again. I'm getting ready for a firing this Sunday.

Some shots from the studio this morning. I'm getting ready for a firing in a week. It's fun to see everything in the monochrome phase. Shades of white or brown. I've pressed a flower or two; more of those to come.
