My wife says I make my paintings look small.

This is a 36x24 oil on canvas called "Unwinding by the Fire"

I painted it at a weird angle just for something different and tried to imbue a sense of relaxation into it with the fire and warm colors.

Just kidding, I have no idea when that is nor do I care because, pretty much every day is National Coffee Day!😁 ☕️

This cute dog pic is yet another attempt at trying to scam me.

Someone contacted me about doing a portrait of their dog for their daughter’s bday. After many emails and additional photos of the dog, a price and deadline was agreed upon along with an amount to be paid upfront for me to begin. I emailed an invoice to be paid through my website processor. They came back saying her husband wanted to pay with a personal check. 🚩 I have no idea who this person is. Once I said I only accept payment through my website, they of course disappeared.

I get scams like these every week but this one was very involved and detailed, not like others that don’t make sense right off the bat.

I get disheartened by these attempts, sometimes I think there’s someone probably selling images of my paintings somewhere and making more money than I am off them. 🤬

Like I said I get these attempts all the time from my various social media and they outnumber legitimate inquiries about my paintings.

Who else suffers from this problem? I’m calling it scam fatigue.🥵
