Here is a video of the 1934 Lombard gas log hauler testing the new Lombard Road recently improved by UM Construction Engineering Technology students. They broke up a large boulder and widened sharp corners. This road is particularly beautiful in winter.

Wonderful time at our Summer at the Mill event. Thanks to the many amazing volunteers. They ran all of the sawmills and 3 Lombards, including our 1907 steam Lombard log hauler. Other volunteers did blacksmithing, woodworking, gave spinning demonstrations, and made bean-hole beans and biscuits. Videographer Dennis Hartman visited and shot an amazing video we look forward to seeing.

Greg Frazier and Tom Aylesbury conducted a state boiler inspection for our 1907 Lombard steam log hauler today. All went well. Our Lombard crew of John and Cathy Orne, Terry Harper and myself then sealed up the machine and conducted leak tests with our Ingersoll Rand air compressor. Our Lombard ran perfectly. We briefly tested the Crooker steam Lombard with compressed air and then ran the two gas Lombards. Terry drove 4 different Lombards today and looked quite pleased. Many visitors enjoyed watching the tests.
