Whether it’s significant objects, archivable materials, or oral histories, since 1972 we have been conserving local history to inspire our future generation The Boyertown Area Historical Society foresees a world where everyone appreciates the past, relates it to the present, and uses that appreciation to work together to create a better future. To this end, the Society foresees an inviting and secure facility that houses a dynamic and engaging museum coupled with a state of the art historical research library. Our attractive and alluring museum will provide the backdrop for regular educational and social opportunities for Members, students and guests thus ensuring that our past will ever remain a treasured part of the area’s future.

From the Archives: Boyertown Auto Body Works, 1966!

Step back in time with us! This photograph from the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles (BMHV) archives features a group of 13 women and two men standing on the steps of the Haefer building, dressed in period costumes.

A tag in the bottom corner reads “Boyertown Multallow Truck Bodies,” while the handwritten note in the margin identifies the occasion as “Boyertown Auto Body Works Girls Centennial Year 1966.”

What a wonderful glimpse into the people and traditions connected to Boyertown’s local industries! 🏭

For more than 50 years, the Boyertown Area Historical Society has been preserving the stories, artifacts, and traditions that make our community unique. From the iron mining industry that helped build Boyertown to the world-renowned casket company, General Carl Spaatz, and the tragic Opera House Fire, every exhibit helps keep our local history alive for future generations.

As a nonprofit organization, we rely on the generosity of our community to continue preserving and sharing Boyertown's rich heritage.
