Thank You, Box Elder!

This past Saturday, August 29, we hosted Dream Big Box Elder at the Box Elder Community Center! Families enjoyed children’s activities while we connected with community members and heard what matters most to them as we continue bringing the vision of the Black Hills Children’s Museum to life.

A special thank you to Coca-Cola Bottling Company High Country for generously donating water for the event. We truly appreciate your support!

And thank you to everyone who joined us! We enjoyed meeting you, talking with your families, and sharing more about what’s ahead for the Black Hills Children’s Museum.

We’ll be at Salute to Ellsworth on Saturday, September 12, 2026, where we’ll officially launch our new Mobile Museum!

This past weekend, Black Hills Children’s Museum hosted Dream Big Box Elder at the Box Elder Community Center! Families enjoyed children’s activities, lunch, a sneak peek at what’s ahead, and opportunities to share their feedback.

Box Elder is growing — and now there’s a grassroots effort to bring something new for local families: a hands-on children’s museum designed for kids to learn, explore and play. Read more at the link in the comments.
