On September 23, 2023, Hanford Mills hosted our Metal at the Mill Exploration Day. This day included the return of the Dan Rion Memorial Antique Engine Jamboree, highlighting regional collectors of engines, tractors, and many other machines. The 1948 GMC Bovina Fire Department Engine with Pumper made its first appearance at HMM, and the 957 Nash Metropolitan Hook & Ladder Firetruck ride, from the Catskill Game Farm, returned as a perennial favorite. The Catskill Conquest Rally of Classic Cars also made a stop at Hanford Mills that day.

In 2024, Hanford Mills will again host Exploration Days, each with a different theme, and one of these will be Metal at the Mill, featuring the Dan Rion Memorial Antique Engine Jamboree! Check our website for details as we begin to plan the next year of Exploration Days at Hanford Mills. We look forward to seeing you in 2024!
