At the beginning of a journey, we never know how the path will unfold. All the planning in the world is no more than an educated guess. The unknown is often the hidden gem, the very thing we will learn the most from and the experience we will carry with us as we go through our lives.
This journey, this dream is like entering a labyrinth. I cannot see beyond the short distance in front of me. What has become clear is that the dream will take the combined efforts of our entire community. It will change lives, it will bring opportunity and growth in the arts for decades to come but it cannot be done without the entrepreneurs, the philanthropists, the artists, teachers, the businessmen and women and our leaders. This will be a place for the arts, it will belong to the community, it will educate, foster the arts and build opportunities for the diverse world that awaits its completion.
Artists and the art community are survivors, they will always find a way to succeed, but imagine how much more we could achieve if we simply had enough resources, space and opportunities for everyone. A place to learn, teach and serve every individual, every school, every organization, every segment of the population in need of creative expression. And, we are all in need of a place to express ourselves in a diverse, non-judgmental environment where constructive criticism makes us better and collaboration raises our potential.
We are under contract on a centrally located 14 acre site on Isabelle rd.. We have worked with Gettliffe Architecture and completed conceptual drawings for the campus. In January 2020 we received approval from Boulder County for a land use change clearing the way for us to build the institute in Boulder County.
