Introducing “Pennies” 48” x 72”, oil on canvas. This has been a well documented, months long odyssey resulting in a pot of gold (and copper) at the end of the rainbow. Both beauty and beast, this giant jewelry box is a celebration of precious metals and a deep dive into the meaning of value, the concept of currency, and the reality of strength in numbers. The work is also represents the culmination of persistence, dedication, and hard work. What is truly earned and equally valuable is indeed, the process itself. The experience of creating and the joy of witnessing a works evolution. Watch the video to see sunlight dance playfully from coin to coin, noting that the embossed white charcoal does much more than define each shape; it reflects light as well, making this stunner a true chameleon. A lovely couple got in touch with me a few months ago, describing what a great time they had meeting me and chatting about my work in Nantucket. Our initial interaction was two or three years ago, and so it took them a while to remember who I was by name and eventually, find me here in Boston. Their grandfather was from Italy and was a sardine fisherman, adding an additional reason for wanting me to be the one to provide something special for a place of honor in their South Carolina home by the sea. We ultimately arrived at a large scale (54” x 54”) limited edition print and fortunately for them, it is so big it’s the first addition; 1/75. Ironically, the original, which is only a bit larger, lives on an adjacent island. This print has such a presence and impact. The translation is absolutely smashing. Much credit to the talented photographers and printers entrusted with this part of the process, and a big congratulations to the folks who stepped up, went (really) big, and got themselves a 1/75🐠🐠🐠🐠

A delightful gift project for a client who wanted something genuinely bespoke and truly authentic. These maple boxes have been emblazoned with one of my Boston maps, then meticulously lined in silk, using the same original image. Each box contained specifically chosen scarves for each recipient from our collection. Then, they were then wrapped in bows with my iconic sardines affixed for additional adornment, also in maple. Each box was nestled into its own Seth B Minkin tote, for a fun, unique, thoughtful presentation✨ As an aside, Happy Holidays, everyone. Thanks so much for following. I know it’s been a minute, but we’ve been up to so much, I’ve not had time to share. I’ll be back in touch soon with a little show and tell about one of the biggest prints we’ve ever produced. ❤️
