In the weeks leading up to our 3rd Annual Membership Weekend Event on Saturday June 7th we will be sharing several Brice’s Crossroads focused articles by this year’s Keynote Speaker Dan Masters. For Saturday June 7th, Members who have donated $100 or more the day is free, and you will receive your Enthusiast Level thank you gift, AND this year you may bring a guest with you for FREE if you RSVP by May 23rd.

Less than two weeks away!

Join us at the Little Blue August at 105 E Main Street, Baldwyn, MS 38824 from 9am-1pm for some history centered fun and fellowship during our Civil War Mainstreet Event on Saturday May 3rd!

Admission is FREE. Come browse Civil War books and merchandise! Hear about ongoing projects of the Brice's Crossroads Foundation and listen to some great speakers!

-Doors open at 9am.

-10am: renowned author and historian H. Grady Howell will speak about his latest book “Conquered Provinces: Mississippi during and after the Late Unpleasantness.” He will also have several of his can't miss titles for sale!

-11am: BCF Battlefield Guide, Marine Corps Veteran, and Baldwyn High School Alum James Wallis will speak about some of the weapons used during the Civil War in North Mississippi and the Battle of Brice's Crossroads. He will have artifacts from his personal collection of historic weapons on display throughout the morning!

This event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 9am and we will be there until 1pm. Come say hello!

There are plenty of Civil War tours, meet-ups, and events happening in the next few weeks!

-Saturday April 5th…Colonel Garrett will be giving his “The Decisions of High Command at Brice’s Crossroads” program that was postponed because of weather! 10:30am at Brice’s Crossroads Battlefield

-Also on Saturday is a Living History encampment at the Driver House in Corinth with battle maneuvers at 2pm

-Tuesday April 8th Colonel Garrett will be speaking at the Starkville Civil War Roundtable, gather at 6pm, program starts at 6:30pm

-Wednesday April 9th at 5pm is the annual Burnham Lecture in Civil War History open to the public at the University of Mississippi in Oxford

-Tuesday April 15th is the monthly meet-up of the Civil War Views & Brews group in Oxford. Gather at 6:30pm, discussion starts at 6:45pm goes for about an hour. This month’s topic is Civil War documentaries!

-Saturday May 3rd join the BCF at our Civil War Main Street event in downtown Baldwyn from 9am-1pm. Books, Civil War Prints, and t-shirts for sale, updates on projects, Speaker programs by James Wallis and renowned writer H. Grady Howell! Free and open to the public.

Out of an abundance of caution and to encourage more turn out for a fantastic program, this Saturdays’s Brice’s Crossroads Battlefield Program is cancelled due to the miserable weather expected to hit North Mississippi. Stan Buckles author of “Not Afraid to Go Any Whare; A History of the 114th Regiment Illinois Volunteer Infantry, 1862-1865” and Board of Directors Member of the BCF will be speaking at the Decatur Civil War Round Table tomorrow (Thursday Feb 13th)!
