Join us for Symphony at Sunset on May 23 from 7 to 9 on the front lawn of the Vicksburg National Military Park, right in front of the Visitor Center. We’ll kick off Memorial Day Weekend with a special celebration honoring America 250, featuring live music and a fireworks show to close out the night. Recently, Jeff Giambrone, one of the fantastic historians at the Mississippi Department of Archives & History, let us know about some photos taken by the W.P.A. in 1937 and 1938 related to the 1864 Battles of Brice’s Crossroads and Tupelo/Harrisburg.
