This Saturday at Hickory Ridge History Museum, you will come face to face with Royal Governor Lord Dunmore.

Michael Henningsen delivers a first person portrayal of the Colonial Governor whose legacy is one of the most layered stories of the American Revolution. From Patrick Henry's famous cry of "Give me liberty or give me death" to the Ethiopian Brigade wearing "From Slavery to Freedom" on their tunics, Lord Dunmore's story is one you will not forget.

Horn in the West is taking the evening downtown on August 3rd!

We are proud to sponsor a free screening of The Last of the Mohicans at the Appalachian Theatre of the High Country on Monday August 3rd. Before the film, award-winning author and storyteller Randell Jones opens the evening with a special presentation at 5:30 PM.

The connections between this film and our region run deep. The knives used in production were crafted right here in the High Country. Some of our own cast members were extras in the film. And the world it depicts is the same world Horn in the West brings to life every summer on the Daniel Boone Amphitheater stage.

Randell Jones at 5:30 PM
Film at 6:00 PM

Free admission! Reserve your tickets at AppTheatre.org. *Please note that this film is Rated R and may not be suitable for all viewers.*
