Mishell Temo was among the best known, best liked, and most respected members of the Kootenai Tribe. Born in 1854, he was the son of Temo Little Spotted Blanket and Palestine Handshade Over Eye. His sister was Theresa Temo Bighead.
Mishell Temo married Anntty Mall-Kooss. They had two sons, Joe Mishell and Mike Mishell.
Mishell Temo, age 69, passed away on September 5, 1923 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

We hope you have enjoyed the “Moments That Made Us” exhibit on display in your Museum. If you have not been in to see it, you have three days left as the exhibit runs through August 29th.
The “Moments That Made US” exhibit (18 panels) illustrates the history and photographs of the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho, the United States of America, State of Idaho, and Boundary County.
Additional features on display during the exhibit: 4th Grade Land Surveying Art; US Flag flown over the Capitol in Washington, D.C.; Quilt and Wall Hanging by 9B Quilters; Digital Frame with Music and JFK; and Display Featuring the Book “1776” by David McCullough.
