As September arrives and the seasons begin to change, fall is just around the corner, but the Garden is still full of color, texture, and blooms! 🍂

Here’s what to look for on your next visit:

• Crape Myrtle (Lagerstroemia indica ‘JBG 19020’) — Located in the new Educational Arboretum, this beauty produces clusters of colorful blooms and brings a vibrant touch to the landscape.

• Japanese Anemone (Anemone × hybrida ‘Honorine Jobert’) — Located in the Labyrinth Garden, its delicate white flowers brighten the landscape as summer transitions into fall.

• Showy Goldeneye (Heliomeris multiflora) — Located in the Idaho Native Plant Garden, this Idaho native produces cheerful yellow blooms that provide an important late-season food source for pollinators.

• Button Blazing Star (Liatris aspera) — Located in the Idaho Native Plant Garden, this native perennial produces tall spikes of purple blooms that bring color and texture to the late-summer garden.
