We have spent the last few weeks intentionally curating Third Thursday to best represent our vision at Catalyst. Art exhibits showcasing local artists of varying backgrounds, community projects to uplift and inspire, and creating a variety of welcoming and accepting spaces for everyone. Whether you are looking for a space to learn something new, somewhere to advance a skill you already have, or just a space to be exactly as you are, you belong here.

Visual Journaling class is coming up again, tomorrow, Sunday! Sign up by 10am to save your spot and learn an art technique and journaling concept from Sarah Day! This drop-in class happens every other Sunday, with something new each time. Great for teens and adults alike and a fun medium for beginning and advanced artists!

The Arts are such a HUGE part of what makes Boise such a magical place to live. Please join us on May 19 from 6-9pm at the Gem Center for the Arts as we celebrate 5 years on the Bench. There will be an upcycled fashion show, music performances, live painting, lots of artists, a silent auction, kids activities, free art to find, Crisp food truck, and best of all, the event is free and family-friendly!

What an exciting day to read the Boise Weekly! We knew there was an article coming out today about our gala, but were thrilled to see an article featuring Crisp food truck, who we've chosen as our food vendor for the gala AND another article featuring Gem Center resident artist, Lorelle Rau, and her climate action awareness mural as part of the Garden City Placemaking Fund projects! What a beautiful place we all create together! Community is where it's at! 😊🎉💯 SO proud to call Boise home! ❤️

Hello Everyone!

It's time to start hanging work at the Owyhee again! Let's try our hand at another theme show! The theme for August will be "Dog Days of Summer." Let your imagination fly!

Anyone can participate! Please send me your entries via email to [email protected]. No limit to the number of entries you can send. Please include title, medium, and dimensions for each piece. Deadline is July 22nd.
