The Columbus Chapel and Boal Mansion Museum are a National Historic Site near State College PA and Penn State University telling the story of A

merica as seen through eight generations of the Boal family and their ancestors including Columbus, Napoleon and Richard Henry Lee (signer of the Declaration of Independence). The site includes the centuries-old Columbus Chapel, inherited and imported to Boalsburg from Spain in 1909 and containing the Admiral's Desk of Christopher Columbus, fine European paintings and statues and two pieces of the True Cross of Jesus.

As part of our 2025 construction grant from The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau we were able to replace seven windows in the lower level of the historic Boal Barn. This important project was essential for us to make progress in insulating the barn even further, and protect it from the elements for all of our incredible shows, concerts, meetings, and special event events that happen here!

We also want to commend Exteriors for their great work in helping us achieve a look at blends well with the historic ambience of the barn!

🩶🤍Thank you, Knights of Columbus!
Recently, the PA State Council of the Knights of Columbus gathered in Happy Valley for a conference, and the wives of the KoC attendees toured the mansion and chapel. Our museum was presented with a $1,000 donation from the state council! We are so grateful to John Fitzpatrick, State Deputy; his wife Karen Fitzpatrick (pictured), John Wainright (pictured) who led this momentous tour and Ruth Brigandi who also led the tour guests through the collections, as well as our neighbor and friend, Lionel Bassett of the State College KoC. Lionel was instrumental in coordinating this community-building tour and fostering the relationship which led to this generous donation.

Sale begins at 11 at the Boal Barn Playhouse; payment via cash or Venmo is accepted. All treasure removal is at your own risk; all sales are final! All proceeds benefit the Columbus Chapel & Boal Mansion Museum, a nonprofit organization.
