There will be committee reports (Bluffton History Day, Building Campaign, Bluffton America 250), other updates and who knows (!?) what historic treasures might show up after the business meeting for us to gander at?

Additionally, a traditionally "busy" Depot rental season is upon us - and if you'd like to volunteer some "sweat equity" in your Society, that would be greatly appreciated, too! The work isn't that bad, especially if we all pitch in. We'll even give you the easy step-by-step procedures to help out with!

Special thanks go out to the Bluffton Cattle Club 4H group for cleanup and weeding at the Bluffton Ohio Historical Society’s 1899 Depot and to Bluffton’s Boy Scout Troop 256 for adding mulch to the flowerbeds. This looks great and is greatly appreciated!

Thanks to everyone that came out today to hear about “A Museum in the Making”. We had a great audience of nearly 50 people, and we received a great vote of confidence in this campaign.

Major museum exhibits will include the original John Dillinger jail cell and artifacts, Dixie and Lincoln Highway Information, Interurban history, Dr. Boyd W. Travis model railroad, Sohio and other gas station memorabilia, exhibits representing Bluffton businesses and industry, churches, service and military exhibits and a bunch of other subjects related to the community.

Tomorrow’s the day! Come to the Bluffton Ohio Historic Society presentation “A Museum in the Making”. 2 p.m. at the Bluffton Senior Citizens, April 23. The public is encouraged to attend.
