Experience the magic of eco-printing in this one-day workshop with instructor Suzanne Connors on June 20, 2026. During the workshop participants will explore the alchemy that occurs when working with water, plant materials, heat and metal. Suzanne will guide students through different techniques, including how to arrange leaves for clear impressions and how to create different colors with dye baths. In this course, students will learn how to assemble sculptures through working with this unconventional medium. As Jimi puts it, “I always wanted to simply be free to create…Cardboard is familiar, unglamorous, and a little absurd, which is why it feels right. Join us on June 16, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM for an “Introduction to Woodcarving Workshop” with instructors John Thomas and Reid Carney. This workshop will introduce students to wood carving, including tool safety, and basic tool usage will be emphasized. Students will learn the safe procedures for carving using a knife, and be introduced to sharpening, stropping, check-cuts, push-cuts, stop-cuts, and paring-cuts. Tools will be available to use or bring your favorite knife. In the June workshop, students will work on carving a Fish.
