Blue Lake Museum

Blue Lake Museum Our 2023 season begins June 10th. Its free to visit. We will be open Saturday and Sundays 1-4 pm. An extensive research room is also available.

Housed in the beautifully maintained 125 year old Arcata & Mad River Railroad depot,the Blue Lake Museum is a free public museum featuring railroading, logging, and living in the Mad River Valley. The old depot is full of artifacts from the booming days of Redwood Country. Our season is April to September, but you are always welcome by appointment. Don't be shy...we like to show off!
