Again this year, we will be having the ever popular “Spooks in the Park” on Halloween Night. Bring your kids out for a spooky, scary night, with free tricks and treats for all. We will be opening up our up to 200 year old cabins, which will definitely be occupied by ghosts and goblins telling their stories to the children.

Location and time:

Blountsville Historical Park , 5:30 pm until the last goblin, Saturday October 31, 2026

US Hwy 231, 2 1/2 miles north of downtown Blountsville

Happy Sunday! Do these men look familiar? They should. They are your neighbors. From last Night's performance of 1776. By The community Arts council of Blount County. This play is about the forming of our constitution and is a strong reminder of our inherent right to disagree. From our very beginning we agreed to disagree. So it seems we came by it naturally. Saturday we plan a little ceremony on Independence day @ 12:30 to celebrate our country's beginnings ,festivities following.
Live music, craft demos, homemade Ice cream, and hot dogs. All free! America 250 !

Terry Beavers , Alabama fi****ms craftsman brings his beautiful handiwork to our 4th of July celebration. He makes these functional replica ( Soddy- Daisey) muskets right here in Alabama. Not revolutionary Era but the guns the Tennessee Volunteers would have used.
