Borrowing from A.A. Milne, how lucky we have been to have had something that makes saying goodbye so hard. It is with the deepest gratitude and most sincere affection for our loving community of artists, friends and supporters, and with a heavy heart indeed, that our Gallery prepares to bid you a fond farewell at the end of this month. Our building is changing hands, and our Gallery will be closing its doors for the final time before Christmas. Fortunately, our friends at Blacksburg Regional Art Association (BRAA) and Downtown Blacksburg, Inc. and The Creekmore Law Firm PC will remain in place, so you can still visit them in our grand old home that has become so familiar to so many of you. But, sadly, after most of 11 years of welcoming you through our doors and halls, and almost 50 exhibits showcasing nearly 4000 works from over 500 artists throughout southwest Virginia, and hosting live music, dance, makers markets, dinner parties and special events of all types, it is time to say goodbye. We have cherished all the friendships made and have been blessed time and time again by an outpouring of love and support from our community at every turn, every show, every event. We truly hope that we have succeeded in our mission of increasing and growing an appreciation for the arts in our community. And, fear not, with every ending comes a new beginning. While our Gallery doors may be closing, The Artful Lawyer, will remain an avid supporter of the arts in this community, and something new just may emerge in the future! We have a wonderful December of events ahead, so please make time to come visit us at least once or twice more - particularly this weekend, as we host a two day holiday makers market full of beautiful arts and artisan works for your holiday shopping! We'll also be open this evening during the downtown holiday festivities, so please stop by and watch the parade with us one final time from our upper balcony. Thank you all, sincerely. ❤️
