Black Rock Museum The museum is open the first Saturday of every month from 9-3. We will be open at various times throughout the month, look for the open sign in the front.

Note the museum has moved from the high school building to the corner of 4th and Main Streets.

Tomorrow(Saturday the 28th) the museum will be presented a Confederate Roll of Honor Award for Walter Brinkley, a Confederate soldier buried in Oak Forest Cemetery. The award will be presented by the 7th Division Missouri State Guard Camp and the General James McBride Chapter 2731 United Daughters of the Confederacy.

Anyone interested should be at the museum between 12:00 and 1:00 for the presentation.
Following the presentation the group will visit the grave for a ceremony there.

We want to thank the Class of 1986 who donated this very nice copy machine to the museum. They recently enjoyed their 40th year reunion and decided to gift us with this very much needed machine. Thank you, Class of 1986!

The museum will be open Saturday, June 6th from 4:00-6:00 so that members of the class of ‘89 can come by and visit. If anyone would like to stop by during that time to pick up a cookbook, please feel free to do so.

We have a few 2014 yearbooks that we have available for sale for $20. All pages are in black and white, and there are no ads. We also have cookbooks available for $25. Most of those who reserved them have picked them up.

The Bunco Tournament turned out to be a very enjoyable afternoon with a good turnout who enjoyed food, fellowship, and prizes. The museum committee wants to thank the following people and businesses for sponsoring the event: J & R Flying Service, Zack’s Dirt Work, Carey’s Grocery, Lynn and Lori’s Boutique, Eagan Manufacturing, Linda Robertson, Simply Stitched Designs, M &N Dirt Work. Again, thank you to all the participants and to all the sponsors.

We want to thank everyone who has bought our Memorial Cookbook and is enjoying it. The museum will be open Saturday morning, April 25th, from 9-12 if anyone who has signed up for one would like to stop by and pick it up. We are on our second printing and expect to print more in the near future so that we can fulfill all orders and get one to anyone who would like to have it.

We had a great afternoon playing Bunco. Thank you to everyone who came out to play and have a good time. All proceeds go to the museum, and we greatly appreciate it.
