NEW TO THE ARTEMIZIA FOUNDATION COLLECTION: It Can’t Happen Here by Shepard Fairey, acquired from Turner Carroll Gallery.

It Can’t Happen Here references Sinclair Lewis’s 1935 novel of the same name, a work examining the rise of authoritarianism in the United States.

Fairey has described the piece as a call to take threats to democratic institutions and freedoms seriously, specifically citing free speech, assembly and due process among the principles he believes require vigilance.

Artemizia Foundation is proud to announce the acquisition of Shepard Fairey’s original artwork, It Can’t Happen Here (2026), acquired from Turner Carroll Gallery.

Cey Adams didn't simply design album covers.

He helped create the visual language of an era.

As Def Jam's founding Creative Director, Cey worked at the intersection of music, design and street culture creating identities for some of the most influential artists in hip-hop.

His journey from graffiti writer to designer to fine artist is part of a larger story:

Street culture doesn't ask permission to enter the canon.

It changes the canon.

Cey's connection to Artemizia runs even deeper. He designed the AF logo and has been part of the Foundation's collection and story since its early days.

That's the kind of artist we collect.
