The Hill Gallery has moved to Ferndale! Check out our newest exhibition, 𝙈𝙚𝙡 𝙆𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙠: 𝙊𝙣 𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙊𝙛𝙛 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙖𝙡𝙡, an in-depth look at cut, carved, pressed, and painted wood sculpture. On view now from May 9th to June 27th.

Howard Finster (American, 1916–2001), a preacher, bicycle repairman, inventor, and devoted family man, received a divine vision in 1976 that commanded him to start preaching through painting. He produced over 46,000 artworks and turned his property in Summerville, Georgia, into Paradise Garden, a remarkable art environment still open to visitors.

Johnny Swing’s “Murmuration” is on view with Alexander Calder and John Stephan in the background. As a master welder and sculptor, Swing is captivated by curves and biomorphic shapes, driven by endless creative energy. He merges this fascination with common materials into a shimmering, functional work that is reflective, swirling, and alive with movement.
