The Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art mission is to promote and preserve the unique legacy of Biloxi potter George E. Ohr and the diverse cultural heritage of the Mississippi Gulf Coast; and to exhibit works which exemplify the independent, innovative, and creative spirit of George Ohr, emancipated craftsman Pleasant Reed, and Ohr-O’Keefe Museum architect Frank Gehry. This mission is served through compelling exhibitions and educational experiences viewed from a fresh perspective relevant to our community, the region, and the nation with a strong focus on ceramic arts.

Join us TOMORROW, Thursday, October 15, for OOMA After Hours ! Enjoy FREE admission from 5–7 PM and discover two new exhibitions that offer very different, inspiring perspectives on art, nature, and our coastal communities.

📸 The Fisher People by Olivia Aylsworth and Tim Isbell features photographs documenting Vietnamese immigrant communities and their lasting impact on the Mississippi Gulf Coast fishing industry. Stay for a special artist talk and hear more about the stories behind the exhibition. On view in the Center for Ceramics, 2nd Floor Community Gallery.

🏺 Finding Solace features the ceramic sculptures of Alice Ballard, whose work explores the beauty of the natural world, resilience, healing, and renewal. On view in Pod 4

Explore all of our exhibitions, enjoy our Frank Gehry-designed campus, and spend your Thursday evening surrounded by art and community on the waterfront.

Weather Closure Notice

Due to the approaching storm, the Ohr O'Keefe Museum of Art will close today, Thursday, October 8, at 1 PM and remain closed Friday, October 9, and Saturday, October 10.

We will resume our regular hours next week!
