The Ohr O’Keefe Museum of Art has nearly completed installation of a new staircase, the final piece of a design plan created more than 20 years ago by the late Frank Gehry.

The staircase, visible from Highway 90 in east Biloxi, connects to the museum’s ceramics building. Installation took less than a week.

The structure is named “The Grand Marilyn Staircase” and is designed to replicate Hollywood star Marilyn Monroe’s figure. Gehry designed the other pods on the museum’s campus.
