We are proud to share that Amanda Wymer, Director of Development and External Affairs at the Ohr O'Keefe Museum of Art, has been nominated for the 2026 Karen Sock Woman of Achievement Award.

This award celebrates women across the Gulf Coast who lead with purpose, serve their communities, and make a meaningful impact.

This year’s celebration will also honor the life and legacy of Mrs. Karen Sock, whose vision, encouragement, and belief in others continue to inspire women throughout our region.

Please join us in congratulating Amanda and all of this year’s nominees as we celebrate leadership, service, impact, and legacy.

🧘‍♀️ Yoga at the Ohr is this Thursday from 9-10AM!

Join Diane Martin for an all-levels, restorative yoga class on our beautiful campus. Whether you’re new to yoga or have an established practice, everyone is welcome!

Diane is a certified yoga instructor with years of experience and a passion for helping others find balance, strength, and wellness through yoga.

📍 2nd Floor, Center for Ceramics Building
💲 $15 General Admission | $10 OOMA Members

Bring a mat, water, and comfortable clothing. Extra mats are available if needed!

✨ Meet the Team: Trish Lawrence ✨

We are excited to spotlight Trish Lawrence, OOMA’s Administrative Assistant and a vital part of the museum family.

Trish brings creativity, humor, and positive energy to the team every day. Around campus, you might find her on the 4th floor of the Center for Ceramics, her favorite spot at the Museum, or helping keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

She has a deep appreciation for textiles, loves seeing new artwork, and enjoys the laid-back beauty of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Outside of OOMA, Trish stays busy reading, finding great resale deals, listening to classic and hard rock, and dreaming of a trip to Australia.

Perky, loyal, funny, and full of personality, Trish brings so much joy to OOMA. Please join us in celebrating her! 💙
