As an owner in Joann Fabrics & Craft stores, I’m livid as I hit a wall begging for years for them to PAY EMPLOYEES an actual living wage, so we can keep our stores open more than 3-4 hours per day! But, despite a massive demand for craft supplies, they’re closing stores because some greedy Execs need their millions, and they are literally ROBBING THE SHAREHOLDERS! KEEP JOANN FABRICS OPEN! We need tangible shops! (Crafters must FEEL FABRICS BEFORE PURCHASING, for example!). PAY EMPLOYEES ENOUGH TO LIVE ON! Newsflash: SHARED BEDROOMS where I live, rent for $2000/month. Mortgages and rent for an entire single family home or condo, should be 1/4 of NET monthly INCOME in order to live somewhat comfortably, pay other expenses, like our ridiculously overpriced Health/ home/ car insurances (that don’t seem to cover THE MOST COMMON accidents/ incidents & have outrageous deductibles), have a savings and retirement. If companies do not stop paying their execs 400 upwards of 1000’s Xs more than their WORKERS doing THE REAL, ACTUAL WORK, and redistribute salaries/ wages FAIRLY, so an exec never makes more than 10 Xs lowest paid entry level employees, then WEALTH AND LIVABLE WAGES would be FIXED. And, I can keep my stores OPEN! We must start a petition to Joann Fabrics and get legislation immediately! GREED is destroying THE VERY FABRIC of OUR NATION! 🇺🇸 🪡 🧵 🇺🇸
