Over the past few months, I’ve been growing and learning a lot as I take on more commissioned art projects. It’s been a rewarding process, but not without its challenges—and I wanted to share a little behind the scenes with you.
🕰 Time Management
One of the biggest challenges has been balancing my passion for creating with the day-to-day responsibilities of life. When I’m inspired, I want to dive in and work nonstop—but learning when to pause and recharge has been key.
🌥 Creative Flow & Mood
Like many artists, my energy and mood can affect how I work. At times I’ve taken on too much at once, which spreads me thin. I’m learning to pace myself and protect the joy that drives my creativity.
🎨 Creative Liberties
Each commission is deeply personal to the person who requests it. My goal is always to create something that connects emotionally with them—while also staying true to my style and connection to the piece. It’s a balance I continue to refine with each project.
💵 Pricing with Confidence
One of the trickiest parts is pricing work that doesn’t yet exist. I aim to provide something that feels more valuable than the price we agreed on. I’m learning not to underestimate the value of the skill, vision, and heart that go into each piece.
Thank you to everyone who’s trusted me with your vision—every project teaches me something new, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to grow with each one.
Here are a few I’ve worked on. Some are finished. Some are still in the works!
