We’re just one month away from the 2026 Swiss Heritage Holiday Bazaar! Join us on Saturday, November 7, from 9 AM to 3 PM at South Adams Schools. $3 at the door (all proceeds go to Swiss Heritage Village & Museum and South Adams Athletic Department) lets you browse over 100 vendors from all around! Find the perfect holiday gifts, and don’t forget to grab lunch and a dessert from the cafeteria. We’ll have our famous apple dumplings!

For vendors who have already signed up, don’t worry! Your letter will be in the mail by the end of the week. For vendors who still want to sign up, don’t worry, either! We’re still able to accommodate you. Please call us directly, drop by the Village at 1200 Swiss Way in Berne, or you can use the messaging service here to send us your e-mail. We’ll get you a registration form which you can return. But hurry! This month will fly by.

We hope to see you there!

Our apple c***r is officially sold out! Thank you to everyone who supports our pressing every year. We still have a few dozen apple butter jars, both sweetened and unsweetened. Stop by for those!

The Monroe Lions Truck & Tractor Pull is still on for tomorrow at 6 PM! Note that due to the extensive rains we've had, we're going to be doing things a little differently. Swiss Way Road will be mostly inaccessible to visitors to allow the participants' trucks extra parking space off the grass (where the larger vehicles might become stuck). For regular vehicles, you can still park where you always have on the west side of our property, using the back entrance on Heritage Trail.

Our lost and found box from Education Day+Heritage Festival still contains a few items that are unclaimed. If you lost an article of clothing or personal accessory (or credit card!) at Swiss Heritage Village during either of those days, stop by or call in and describe it for us and we'll be happy to reunite you.

If you thought you missed out on our apple c***r, don’t worry! What’s left has been frozen to preserve it. You can stop by the Village Mon-Sat from 10-4 to pick up something you can thaw and even heat for sipping all across winter! And right in between, when the c***r has turned into slush? Try it sometime!

And though our c***r’s going fast, we still have lots of apple butter, too!

What a wet week we’re going to have, huh? The Monroe Lions Truck & Tractor Pull has officially been rescheduled to NEXT Saturday, September 26. Hopefully the track and grounds will be dry enough by then. We apologize for any inconvenience and we hope to see you next week!

Education Day and the Heritage Festival were a great success! Everyone at Swiss Heritage would like to thank all the students, teachers, chaperones, volunteers, and attendees for coming out last weekend, even in spite of the downpour that popped up on Saturday!

If you missed the Big Squeeze at the c***r press because of the weather, don’t worry! We still have apple c***r and apple butter available for purchase at the Village!

Come out to 1200 Swiss Way from 10-4 Monday-Saturday and for a $5 donation you can grab either c***r or butter. Buy several! They’re going to go fast!

To everyone in the community, thank you again for your support. We’ll see you at the festival next year!

The Heritage Festival is this Saturday!

Come out to Swiss Heritage Village on September 12 from 10 AM to 3 PM for guided tours of our historic buildings, old-timey games and activities, reenactors and demonstrators, interactive stations with handmade crafts, and even vendors with handmade goods!

At 11 AM and 1 PM, Christy & Zack Wilson will sing in the Baumgartner church, and at 2 PM the world’s largest single beam c***r press will demonstrate the making of apple c***r, available for purchase (with apple butter) right afterward!

Kids returning from Education Day who kept their sticker will get back in for free! And don’t forget the horse pull at 6 PM on Friday, September 11! Food for both events will be provided by Hummel’s Meats & More!

Events like this wouldn’t be possible without the help of our dozens of wonderful volunteers. If you would like to become a part of the Heritage Festival, Education Day, or any of our other annual events in the future, we’ll be delighted to have you!

Thank you for the praise and for attending our Heritage Festival for so many years! It has a little something for everyone, so mark your calendars. If you’re still on the fence about coming and have a fourth grader who’ll be here the Friday before the Festival, just ask how much fun it was that day. They’ll probably want to come back!
