Happy Thursday! We are back with our 'Weekly Kicks on 66!' 🚗

Route 66, also known as U.S. Highway 66, was one of America's most famous highways, and in 1926 it originally spanned approximately 2,448 miles. It crossed eight states: Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California, each offering unique landscapes and attractions. This route takes you through three separate time zones. It starts in the Central Time Zone in Chicago, then travelers hit the Mountain Time Zone when driving through New Mexico and Texas, and as you enter California, you shift into the Pacific Time Zone. Of all the states, New Mexico has the longest stretch of about 487 miles, while Kansas has the shortest at about 13 miles.

There are a ton of things to do and see on Route 66, so it takes an estimated 2-3 weeks at a leisurely pace to drive the whole route. So, get comfy and enjoy the open road!
