I’m Jimena, a contemporary painter whose journey began in 2023, born from both loss and renewal. After the passing of my son Casey, painting became my path back to life, joy, and resilience. Each canvas is a tribute to the 25 years I was blessed to share with him, and each year on Giving Tuesday, 20% of proceeds will be donated to support charities helping young people recover from addiction. Explore my work and join me in honoring Casey’s legacy through art.

“To Breathe” is my pastel meditation on the quiet rituals that anchor us in the present. Inspired by a poem that celebrates the simple act of pausing—to notice the warmth of a mug, the hush of morning light, the gentle swirl of steam—I set out to capture a moment of gratitude and renewal. Through soft transitions of color and light, I hope to evoke the sense of possibility that comes with each new day: a reminder to breathe, to savor, and to begin again.
