Happy Thursday! On today's Throwback: Yum!

Who doesn’t love a freshly baked pastry in the morning? Whether you’re heading out the door to work or easing into your day at home, there’s just something about a warm, fresh pastry that hits the spot.

For many years, Kelly’s Pastry Shop was the place to find those delicious treats. From sweet pastries to all kinds of confectionery creations, they were a local favorite that so many remember fondly.

Do you remember Kelly’s? What was your go-to treat?

Share your memories with us below—we’d love to hear them!

Happy Thursday!

For today’s Throwback Thursday, we’re reminiscing about moments that feel timeless—whether they happened decades ago or just last weekend.

So many of our favorite memories are made when families gather for holidays, celebrations, or simple potluck meals. There’s something special about good food, laughter, and being surrounded by the people we care about most.

Today, we’re featuring Armand and Claire Riendeau enjoying just such a moment at a potluck gathering—a snapshot of togetherness that never goes out of style.

Do you have memories like this? We’d love to hear them—share your stories (and photos!) with us in the comments.

Take a look back at these amazing girls who were making memories and learning new skills, just like so many others in our community.

Who knows—some of them might have even sold cookies to help fund their next adventure! 🍪💚

The only problem? We don’t know which office they were the crew of!

Throwback Thursday 🛒⏳

This photo shows the Super A & P, formerly located at 234 Pleasant Street. Judging by the automobile parked out front, this image dates to before World War II.

As time moved on, the Super A & P gave way to another well-known local business.
Do you remember what business—and proprietor—came next?

Here’s a hint: 👀 we’ve shared the successor in a previous Throwback post.

Put those memories to work and drop your answers in the comments! 👇

Throwback Thursday 🚗🧠

For many years, this building was home to Paquette Motors, which later became B&J Lincoln-Mercury. A lot of cars—and a lot of memories—passed through those doors.

The building is still standing today. It may look a little different now, but it’s very much still part of the landscape.

Do you recognize it?
Do you know where this building is located?

Let’s test your memory—drop your guesses in the comments! 👇

Throwback Thursday (a little late 😉)

Sorry for missing Thursday's post — our computer froze (pun fully intended)! ❄️💻

Many of us use the weekend to catch up on chores we can’t quite get to during the workweek… including a run to the grocery store.

This throwback photo features Freddie Prince of the IGA Foodliner, a familiar sight to so many in our community. For years, this was just part of everyday life — quick stops, friendly faces, and seeing someone you knew almost every time you walked through the door.

Anyone else remember this sight? 🛒👇
