For many years, Kelly’s Pastry Shop was the place to find those delicious treats. From sweet pastries to all kinds of confectionery creations, they were a local favorite that so many remember fondly.

This photo shows the Super A & P, formerly located at 234 Pleasant Street. Judging by the automobile parked out front, this image dates to before World War II.

As time moved on, the Super A & P gave way to another well-known local business.

For many years, this building was home to Paquette Motors, which later became B&J Lincoln-Mercury. A lot of cars—and a lot of memories—passed through those doors.

The building is still standing today. It may look a little different now, but it’s very much still part of the landscape.

Throwback Thursday (a little late 😉)

Sorry for missing Thursday's post — our computer froze (pun fully intended)! ❄️💻

Many of us use the weekend to catch up on chores we can’t quite get to during the workweek… including a run to the grocery store.

This throwback photo features Freddie Prince of the IGA Foodliner, a familiar sight to so many in our community. For years, this was just part of everyday life — quick stops, friendly faces, and seeing someone you knew almost every time you walked through the door.
