Our area is rich with genealogy resources like the Meyersdale Public Library and the Berlin Area Historical Society. So nice to hear about a successful hunt for family information.

Earlier this week we - along with our friends at the Berlin Area Historical Society - had the privilege of meeting Ann McLuckie and her mother Ruth McLuckie. They visited Somerset County, Pennsylvania, all the way from Utah and Washington, respectively. While researching their McLuckie and White heritage inside our Meyersdale Public Library's Pennsylvania Room, the two women came across this family history booklet created by Reverend D.C. White.

The booklet, completed by the local Brethren reverend - Ann's great-grandfather - in 1968, proved a real treasure to the two women, especially when they discovered their own names inside its pages! How neat we could help them make this connection here in the middle of American Archives Month!
