Today was the first day of our Clothed Figure Painting workshop with Zhaoming Wu (), and honestly, it felt really special—I haven’t seen him in over 10 years. 💕

Zhaoming shared his approach with quiet clarity and care, offering thoughtful demos and generous individual feedback. His presence is so calm and grounded. Watching him paint and hearing him explain his choices, I felt lucky to be in the room—surrounded by such focused energy and so many dedicated artists (we even have students who came all the way from Florida and Vienna!).

And a big shoutout to our fabulous model Simone , who came up from LA just for this 🤩

Painting with Felicia Forte - Creative Coaching
Date: June 6 to 8, 2025

In this workshop, Felicia will work with each artist where they’re at right now. Whether you need to hone your technique, break through your limiting beliefs, or experiment with new ideas – we will work together to clear your creative path forward. Think of this as a think tank, a brainstorm, a laboratory.

We will have a scene to work from as our subject. A live model, objects, theme, atmosphere. Each artist will find what interests them in this scene, allowing for the widest range of tastes to participate. Felicia will work in oil as it is where her expertise lies, but students may use any medium they favor.

Artists of all levels of experience are welcome to join this workshop!

These past five days felt like a dream. Henry Yan’s workshop was everything I hoped for and more. I am so grateful to Henry for his generosity as a teacher—his deep knowledge, patience, and encouragement made this an unforgettable experience. His support of me, the studio, and every student in the room means so much, and I truly appreciate the time and care he puts into sharing not just his techniques, but his art journey and life lessons.

A special thank you to Oliver Sin for guiding me in so many ways—not only in art but also in navigating this path as an artist and instructor. Your kindness, wisdom, and encouragement have meant so much, and the wonderful surprise truly made my day. To all the students who brought such great energy to the studio, thank you for your dedication and enthusiasm.
