Anna Halpin is a local artist who works with acrylics and mixed media on canvas and uses her own photography for references. Anna’s passion for art was recognized when she won awards at the Lynden Fair, “Best of Show” in the art category at the WA Puyallup Fair in 2005, and “Best of Show” at the Senior Art Show at Blaine High School in 2007. She continued her education at Western Washington Univer

sity where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art minor in Psychology. Anna was featured in multiple student art shows while attending Western. She began early on with photo-realism paintings and moved to more intuitive abstract styles of today. Anna has shown her paintings in club venues, breweries, cafes, restaurants, and galleries across Bellingham, Wa. She also showed at restaurants and galleries in Homer, Alaska- where she lived and had many adventures for 3 years. Her work explores the beauty of PNW nature, the moon and deep space, deep ocean worlds, dreamlike settings, and places she has traveled in abstracted perspectives. Anna's paintings often reflect her own interpretations of visions through the third eye and portray feelings of nostalgia through referencing her photography.

✨Reveal of my new painting, Finding Peace Through Pain✨

💙 Swipe to see the process

💙 She stands in a clear, sunlit lake,
where the water glows in greens and golds. Behind her, trees breathe in stillness, hills rest in the distance, and clouds drift softly. She is calm and grounded. Her eyes are closed, tears flowing down, appearing peaceful yet grieving deep inside.

Inside her, a fire is burning.
It rises from deep within,
from the center of her heart chakra,
the ache of her womb, in luminous flames of pain.
This is where she carries it all.

The quiet mourning of a body that has betrayed her.
The fading echo of a future she once dreamt of.
The absence of loved ones who left
when her world grew heavy.

The unseen fire burns inside her,
dull, stabbing, and relentless.

And still, she stands strong.

She is both the calm waters and the burning flames, the beauty the world can see and the sorrow it cannot.

She is resilient. She survives the pain that is invisible.

✨My new painting, A Golden Day✨

✨Under the snowy peaks of Mount Baker, a colorful bright mandala glows in the sky, a symbol of harmony and connection.

The lake sparkles with sacred patterns, and Lupin wildflowers sway in the wind at the edge of the water.

A white butterfly drifts through flowing mountain air, a symbolic reminder of my spirit guides and passed on loved ones.

It’s a moment of pure love and joy, where beauty, peace, and spirit all meet.

☀️✨Bliss at Baker Lake✨

✨I started this piece during the glow of summer. In the heart of winter, I painted the sun I needed to see — Bliss at Baker Lake is a memory of warmth, a prayer for light, and a place where hope quietly lingers. Even in darkness, the golden sun rises.✨
